TV presenter and farmer Jimmy Doherty has been named as an ambassador for disability charity Papworth Trust after he helped the trust raise money to buy and renovate a farm that now provides respite breaks for disabled people and their families.
Doherty, who invited three families to his own farm in Suffolk in a trial run for the project as part of Channel 4's The Secret Millions project, commented 'I am very proud to be an ambassador for Papworth Trust. It is a unique charity which does amazing work supporting disabled people, and I'm honoured to now be part of that', adding that the trust gives disabled people 'more choice and independence in their lives'.
